Guqin
The Qin is a long fretless zither with a hollow sounding box about three and a half feet long, six inches across and two inches deep.
The Qin has a fabulously complex performance tradition. It was intended as an elite instrument for only the most serious scholarly gentlemen, and players cultivated its esoteric and formidable reputation.
